Introducing Surly Darkness – twelve, yes TWELVE Surly Darkness Varietals on tap starting October 5th. These limited release and highly collectable imperial stouts are dark and full-bodied, with complex flavor profiles. Darkness lovers will experience notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, and sometimes even hints of licorice or molasses. The flavors are often layered and can evolve as the beer warms.

Intensify your experience with beer poking during the event! As we all know, post fermentation, there are residual malt sugars which are leftover in the beer. The hot metal rod instantaneously caramelizes these complex sugars and brings out more concentrated malt character to the forefront. The beer develops a marshmallow-like toasted character and is pleasantly soft/creamy on the palate.
